Anti Ragging Act Policy – TSM Jain College of Technology
At TSM Jain College of Technology, we are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy academic environment free from any form of ragging. Our institution strictly follows the Anti Ragging Act as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Legal Framework
Ragging is a criminal offense under the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. Any student found guilty of engaging in ragging shall face strict disciplinary actions, including suspension, expulsion, and legal proceedings as per the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Preventive Measures at TSM Jain College of Technology
To ensure a Anti Ragging Act ragging-free campus, our institution has implemented several preventive measures. A dedicated Anti-Ragging Committee, consisting of faculty and student representatives, actively monitors and prevents ragging incidents. Additionally, an Anti-Ragging Squad conducts surprise inspections across campus. To support students, we have a Helpdesk & Helpline, providing a 24/7 grievance redressal system for reporting incidents anonymously. Awareness Programs, including regular anti-ragging seminars and workshops, are organized to educate students on the consequences of ragging. Furthermore, all students and their parents are required to sign a mandatory anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission, reinforcing our commitment to a safe and respectful academic environment.
Our Commitment
TSM Jain College of Technology upholds the dignity of every student and ensures a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. We stand against ragging and encourage students to build a culture of friendship and mutual respect.
